Royal
Doulton was founded in 1815 on the banks of the Thames in London and opened a factory in beautiful Stoke on Trent in central England in 1877. Under the direction of entrepreneur, Sir Henry Doulton (1820-1897), and his successors the Company has manufactured a large variety of ceramic items including tableware, gift ware and collectibles such as figures, Character Jugs, animal studies and models inspired by characters from fiction and the cinema. Bunnykins,
the world famous nursery ware, is also a Royal Doulton product. Today, the name Royal Doulton still stands for high quality design and workmanship. |
